Radiating Cables

The latest, most effective connectivity technology being used today – radiating cables are a primary communication system used in industrial buildings, hotels, warehouses and other structures where it is difficult to get WiFi coverage using the normal access points.

TLS IT uses certified technology to ensure radiating cables are installed and implemented efficiently. In this region warehouses are the most prominent examples where radiating cable technology is used. Owing to the continuous activity within warehouses, there is always the case for disruption in connection.

TLS IT was presented with such a scenario when we were consulted to provide coverage for our client Ocean Fair International’s warehouse with WLAN. Using conventional solutions would be a cumbersome process owing to the use of too much equipment. Simultaneously, we needed to consider the constant activity within the warehouse, which could cause disruptions and errors. A well-sectored concept was essential without overlapping channels.

In such a scenario, radiating cables guarantee overall network coverage in the warehouse. In essence, radiating cables are coaxial cables with slots cut into the outer conductor to allow controlled levels of electromagnetic energy to be radiated both out of and into the cable. This allows it to function as a transmission line and an antenna.

With radiating cables TLS IT is equipped to cover expansive areas with WiFi signals by using fewer channels.

Installing these radiating cables TLS IT ensures that the number of access points reduces to about one-third of the traditional solutions, with lesser cabling. This reduces the interference in WLAN. Even in offices with false ceilings, TLS IT can install this innovative solution.
